I will tell the whole story later -- but all is wonderfully well -- 56th percentile in growth -- all the information charted on the ultrasound looked 'perfect' -- as the doctor said...and the ultrasound technician couldn't prod the little one out of the snug spot she was in. My cervix got an A++ for a much longer length than is normal at this point... the doctor is not worried about any cervix issues for now.
Did you notice I said she?
There is a disappointed big brother -- but me? I couldn't be happier. More on this later -- we're off to lift his spirits with an afternoon showing of "Up".

On a thought related to your birth question below, I'd recommend if you intend to nurse that you take a b/f class. Your hospital probably offers one. I'd also recommend you go to a Laleche League meeting and meet some of the leaders in your area. They're a wonderful resource, and the support of other new mothers is wonderful. I'd also make use of any new mother groups they may sponsor at your hospital. I met some women there who are still my good friends.
Oh, wow!! I'm really happy and excited for you, Pam! I'm glad all is well, and smiling ear to ear about the baby being a girl. Obviously, a boy would be just as wonderful, but I have a soft spot for girls for obvious reasons. How wonderful!

Super news on the u/s. And I'll tell you, baby girls are great! (course it's really way too early for there to be any difference between boys and girls, but even if you are not into clothes, the girl clothes are really fun!) Awesome news!
